How To Get There
The absence of an airport on Andros has helped ensure the island retains much of its original charm. Andros is reached via a flight to Athens and then a ferry crossing (max. 2 hours) from the port of Rafina.
Direct flights to Athens from the UK depart from Gatwick, Glasgow, Heathrow, Luton and Manchester.
The port of Rafina is just a 30 minute drive from Athens Airport. For those choosing not to hire a car from Athens there is a reliable bus service between the airport and the port of Rafina.

Batsi, Andros
The resort of Batsi sits in a large bay with a golden sand beach lapped by crystal clear aquamarine waters. The picturesque town climbs haphazardly up from the little fishing harbour and is an attractive jumble of whitewashed houses with red roofs and mazy back streets with shady little squares.
About a three minute drive beyond Batsi is Aghios Marina, which is a beautiful rural area with a choice of lovely sandy beaches and excellent beach side tavernas that specialise in fresh fish dishes. Everything here is low key and provides an ideal environment for relaxing and recharging your batteries. If you are feeling more energetic there is excellent walking in the pine and herb scented countryside that forms the back drop to the quiet beaches that fringe the coast line here.
